Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a young girl, she moved to Oxfordshire where she attended the Dragon School. Emma was aspired to become an actor since she was at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy that offers part-time classes. When she was ten, she was performing and taking the lead in various Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie version to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for first time in 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford teacher of drama. After eight consistent auditions producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast for the roles of the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first film appearance coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It broke all records in beginning-day and weekend-opening sales as well as being the most-grossing feature in 2001. Reviewers were awed by the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British publication, has praised Emma for her performance. Emma's performance was recognized and was awarded five awards in the film.
