Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Born in Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school to move into Los Angeles with her mother following her divorce from her parents. She was struggling to make ends meet and was offered her first role in acting in Rachel's Room's lead character. After earning a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance as Murder In Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to win. Grace Rutherford was the lead actress on Lost for its first two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace quit the show in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in film, appearing opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. In 2007, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. The actress reprised her character for Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon on the finale episode, as well as two additional episodes. In 2013 she appears in the sixth season of Californication. She is Faith as a girl who acts as a muse to the stars, and draws the attention to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). In 2002, she starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the love story Secretary (2002). The two films were critically acclaimed. After several commercially successful films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received wider recognition for playing Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). In the wake of her performance that was a hit as an unmarried mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Then she was in comedies and dramas which included Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 In addition, she was a Secret Service Agent in White House Down which was an action thriller from 2013, a musician as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014) as well as the lead role for the lead role in The Kindergarten Teacher, a film that debuted in the year 2018. Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
